Dragon Boat Head | Boracay Pictures

Here we see a picture of a colorful wood carved gold and green Dragon Head typically used on the Dragon Boats duing competitions. The Dragon Boat racing originated in the southern Guangdong Province of China, and the boats were created using teak wood. During competitive events the Dragon Boats are equiped with decorative Chinese Dragon Heads and tails.

The Dragon Head picture shown above was taken by Rick St. John during the 2010 Boracay Dragon Boat Festival held on Boracay Island in station 2 at the beach front.
